Judy Jewell Pettit went home to be with Jesus on June 20, 2020 at Joplin Gardens, at the age of 99 years. Judy was born March 26, 1921 in Omaha, Arkansas, the daughter of Minor and Myra (Cantrell) Ellis. She moved to the Duenweg Community in 1975 from Barry County and was a homemaker. Judy was a wonderful story teller, she had a green thumb and was an avid collector, especially dolls and at one time her collection was over 2000 dolls. She was a very generous person and her home was the place to stop after school for a snack for many of the Duenweg children. Judy married Robert Raymond Pettit and he preceded her in death in 1975. She is survived by a son, Vic Pettit of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Danny Rae, a three year old daughter, Bobbi Gail, daughter Kay Letts and sons, Jerry Pettit, Sammy Pettit and Jimmy Pettit; a sister, Mary and a brother, Millard.
