GUNN, Mrs. Odell (Ed) of Rockdale & Cameron. Age 90. Died 4/7/1976 in a Cameron hospital following an extended illness. Services held 4/8/1976 (Thursday) at First United Methodist Church, Cameron. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, Rockdale, at the side of her husband. Rev. Stanley Vodicka officiated.

She was BORN 1/14/1886, the daughter of the late John C. Bownds and Mary Wilkerson Bownds, near Rockdale. She had been a Milam Co. resident all her life, originally in Rockdale and later in Cameron. Married Ed Gunn in 1902 in Rockdale. Mr. Gunn was an attorney in Rockdale and became district attorney in 1942 and they moved their home to Cameron. He died at age 77 in 1957. Retired as district attorney and in private law practice at time of death. Mrs. Gunn remained active in church and social/club life until a few months before her death. Member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 53 and active member of Delphyan Study Club in Cameron.

SURVIVORS: 4 daughters, Mrs. Lois Fitzgerald of San Marcos, Mrs. Lucille Moll of Beaumont, Mrs. Evelyn Splawn of San Antonio, Mrs. Jack Cook of Maples, FL.; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, B.M. Bownds of Rockdale and J.L. Bownds of Corpus Christi.
