Marsha L. Maxedon, 70, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2020 in her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Gary Crowder officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to HSHS Home Care and Hospice of Southern Illinois and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Marsha was born on December 21, 1949 in Highland, IL, the daughter of Louis A. and Marjorie L. (Blumer) Aebischer. She graduated from St. Jacob-Triad High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Eastern Illinois University. Marsha worked as a Speech Pathologist for 35 years, 25 of those years for Shelbyville Community Unit School District #4. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, IL and served on the Glenwood Cemetery Board for several years. Marsha was a very social person and enjoyed visiting, walking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She married William W. “Bill” Maxedon on June 23, 1979.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Ryan D. Anderson (Candice) of Naperville, IL; and Louis W. Maxedon (Shauna) of Westervelt, IL; brother, Steve S. Aebischer (Terry) of Highland, IL; and grandchildren, Parker, Margo, Ryan Jr., Landon and Myles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chris Aebischer on August 6, 2008; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Elnore Maxedon; brother-in-law, Gene Goodwin on September 4, 2001 and sister-in-law, Barb Maxedon on October 16, 2011.
