3 PLANE DEATHS RULED ACCIDENTAL

Justice of the Peace Alfred C. Baass Friday returned verdicts of accidental death in connection with Wednesday night's plane crash east of Victoria County Airport that claimed the lives of three Victoria residents.

Baass ruled that Johnny Glen Gideon, 26, of Rt. 7, Box 308, a sales representative for Goad-Boles Motors Inc.; Randy Lee Gerjes, 24, of 506 N. Glass St., Apt. B, a mechanic for Walt Nicol Volkswagen and Mercury-Lincoln, and Alwin Jarius Ellison, 23, of 2201 N. East St., a process operator for Du Pont, died from multiple external injuries sustained in the crash.

Baass said an autopsy was performed on Gideon's body. He was listed as the pilot of the single-engine four-place Beechcraft Musketeer. The wreckage was found, Thursday morning.

Funeral arrangements for Gideon were completed Friday.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Hewlett and the Rev. A. R. McGee officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Thames, Jimmy Holcomb, Ray Riggs, Raymond Saenz, Robert Lowery and Larry Lawson.

Services for Gerjes will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Joe Webb, pastor of First Baptist Church of Edna, officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family has requested that should friends so desire, memorials may be made in his memory to the charity of their choice.
