Funeral Services Held At Ogden, Utah For George H. Hall
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept 8, in Ogden, Utah for George H. Hall, 95, well-known Idaho and Utah rancher who died Wednesday Sept 5 in Ogden.
Mr Hall was an active church worker. He farmed in Huntsville, Utah until 1907, when he moved to Ogden. He acquired cattle ranches at Raymond and Crow Creek, Idaho. He retired in 1945. His son G. Raymond, has owned and operated the Crow Creek ranch since 1924.
Mr Hall had served as president of the Caribou Cattlemen's Association and was a member of the National Cattlemen's Association. Active in the LDS Church he filled two foreign missions and a short mission in California.
From 1892 to 1894 he served as district president in the British Mission. He was a member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers.
He was born June 20, 1867 in Huntsville, Weber County, Utah, to William and Louisa Enderby Hall. He married Celia Raymond Feb 24, 1892 in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away in 1943.
Surviving are sons and daughters, G.Raymond, Afton; Eugene H, Geneva, Idaho; Stanley Alexandria VA; Mrs Joseph H. (Florence) Bell and Mrs George B. (Evelyn) Ingals, both of Ogden; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and a sister Mrs Alma Esplin, Logan.
Those attending the funeral from Star Valley were Mr and Mrs G. Raymond Hall, Alfred Sorenson, Hugh Bagley and Harvey Kennington.
