Edith Ann Collins White, 91, of Clinton, S.C., formerly of Dublin, Va., passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008. She was born October 4, 1916 in Max Meadows, Va., daughter of the late David P. and Nannie Gleaves Irvin Collins. She is a member of the Draper Valley Baptist Church and a former member of the Dublin Garden Club, Newbern Home Extension Club and the Dublin Tops Chapter. Mrs. White was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Virginia A. Haddon and several sisters and brothers. She is survived by her husband, Johnie L. White; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and George Farris of Clinton, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law; Dr. Duane and Ramona White of Greer, S.C.; six grandchildren and spouses; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Draper Valley Baptist Church with the Reverend Wilfred L. Overton officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery, Wytheville, Va. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home or at the home of Walter and Daisy White at any time. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the Draper Valley Baptist Church or the Gideons Dublin Chapter. Arrangements by Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va.
