Mrs. Hickman was born on August 8, 1928 to Jesse and Essie May Johnson and passed away peacefully on September 26, 2013 in Conroe, Texas surrounded by her loving family. We know we can take comfort in knowing you are celebrating in heaven with so many that we have lost before you. Thank you for giving us so many memories and so much love to fill our hearts for a life time.
Ruth enjoyed special times with her family and was devoted in serving others. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe and more recently attended The Light Community Church in Willis, TX. During her lifetime, Ruth served as an Eastern Star and faithfully volunteered at her church or wherever she was needed. She was also an avid golfer who was a longtime member of the Panorama Country Club. She had a positive influence on the lives of all the people she touched and was a role model for many. Known for her ease in conversation with even total strangers, her fondness for telling stories and her ever present smile, Ruth will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
