Charlie S. Boyd Dies at Galveston
Charlie S. Boyd died in the John Sealy hospital in Galeveston on Dec. 15 at 11:15 after a lingering illness. He was born Feb. 29, 1904. At the time of his death was 45 years old. He leaves his wife and a son, Charles Theron, and aged mother at Karnes City, five mother at Karnes City, five brothers, Arthur, Wesley Joe, Leonard, Albert; five sisters, Mrs. Caleb Gilley, Mrs. Maggie Dikes, Mrs. Della Newman, Mrs. Annie Poppee and Mrs. Nola Smith. Rev. Roy Lyons of the First Baptist church at Karnes City conducted the funeral services at the Baptist church in Gillett on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial was in the Gillett cemetery.
