Henry Bohne was born in Hanover, Germany, and died in Lockport Twp. St. Joseph Co., Michigan. The son of Friedrich and Anna Maria (Schulte) Bohne. He married, Mary (Mattie) Pauline Schmidt on May 21, 1896 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Ind. They lived in Ind. and moved to St. Joseph County, Michigan. They lived in the Three Rivers, Park and Centerville, Michigan areas. He had two children Friederich "Fred" Carl Bohne and Minnie Helen (Bohne, Harris) Lutin.
Siblings, "Fred" Hermann Friedrich Ludwig Bohne, Minnie L. (Bohne) and her husband, Ernest Conrad (Fred is buried same cemetery as his parents, his name Herman Bohne)
When my sisters and I were children, my grandma, Minnie Helen Lutin, would take us with her to the Mendon Cemetery and we would put flowers on the graves of Fred, Henry and Mary Bohne. We will always remember this, even though we didn't know any of the Bohne's.

An alien registration card - is signed by Henry J. Bohne. The tombstone marker says - Henry W. Bohne. I'm assuming the J. is right as this was the way he signed his name. Dated March 1st, 1918. On Mary's death cert. it gives his middle name of Carl.
