REEDSBURG, WIS., -- Genevieve Annie Tate, 84, Reedsburg, Wis., formerly of Springfield, Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997, in Sauk County Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 26, 1912, in Princeton, Mo., the daughter of John and Lula Dell Scott Goodin, on Feb. 7, 1956, Jenny was united in marriage to Roy Tate in Springfield, Mo. She worked as a waitress in the Stockyard Restaurant in Springfield for more than 25 years. Jenny lived most of her life in Springfield and moved to Reedsburg, Wis., in the fall of 1994 to be close to her brother, William and his family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Tate, a daughter, Kitty Jo Katzley, brothers, Raleigh, Russell and Elbert Goodin; and sisters, Georgia Goodin, Agnes Stockman, Elsie Collier and Markalee Slater.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Helen Shoots, Belton, Mo., a brother and his wife, William Thomas and Louise Goodin, Reedsburg, Wis., sisters-in-law, Gwen Goodin, Princeton, Mo., and Ruth Fuller, Muscatine, Ill.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. nine nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997, in Sauk County Health Care Center Chapel, Reedsburg, Wis., with the Rev. Michael Dotson officiating under direction of Farber Funeral Home.
