Funeral Services for Donald Ray Laborde, 76, of Calhoun, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2020, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Tom Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.

Mr. Laborde was born August 26, 1943 and passed away June 17, 2020. He was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe. Mr. Laborde was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was an avid golfer and card player, and the BEST steak chef ever. His heart was too big for this world!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Corene Laborde; and sister, Loretta.

Survivors include his wife, Madelyn Laborde; children, Darren Laborde and wife Donna, Laurie Bourgeois and husband Blaise, Chris Laborde and wife Amanda, Hannah Laborde, Megan Laborde, Macie Laborde, Tammy Avery and husband Byron, Tracy Poulan, and TC Poulan; sister, Ruby Broussard and Geraldine Tingle; and eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Darren Laborde, Chris Laborde, Slade Avery, Hagan Laborde, Devin Laborde, and Byron Avery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 19, 2020, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
