Mrs. Elizabeth Hall Smith, aged 61 years, died Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Houston, of Lawton, Kans.
Mrs. Smith was the widow of the late Joel Smith. She and her husband were old and well known citizens of Columbus having moved to this city in the year 1888.
She is survived by five children, who are Mrs. Jennie Houston of Lawton, Kans., Charles of Grand Junction, Colo., Jesse of Hamilton, and Misses Ruth and Alma of Syracuse, Kans. Two children are dead, Lamantha, who died in Columbus in 1890, and Merrick, whose sudden death occurred last Jan. 12, in Oklahoma City.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Robt. Maclean.
