JULY 16, 1941 – JUNE 11, 2020

Joseph James Browne, Jr, "Joe" will be missed by all. Joe was born to Mr. Joseph Browne & Gertrude Ethel (Hughes-)Browne, July 16, 1941, in Saint Joseph's Hospital, Houston Texas. At 78 years old while in Fort Worth, Texas, struggling medically, he left us for heaven, on June 11, 2020.

Very brief service will be held Wednesday June 17, 10 AM at 7010 Chetwood Drive, Houston, Texas, followed by graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas, at 12 noon.

Joe was the second child of six, with a twin sister, Gertrude McMurrough, still surviving him -- along with another sister, Janet Goldberg and brother, Robert Thomas "Bobby" Browne. Joe follows his predeceased two sisters, Karen Lee DuGas and Norma Jean Pendarvis. Born a Roman Catholic and attended Saint Peters Catholic Church grade school, followed by Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School, Houston.

Joe graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelors degree in business and went on to a full and prosperous career with Roadway (truck line) in Atlanta Georgia. Joe has enjoyed sharing his time with his very extended family in many ways including his photography hobby, photographing the course of the family, dining out with them and arranging many family vacations to Galveston, Texas. He will be missed by all.
