Frank Oscar Romain was born 2 years after his parents arrived from Sweden.
He married Anna Hedlund of Chicago on June 14, 1911.
Frank bought a farm in 1912, 4 miles south of Bark River. He had a varied career: as a logger, he worked in the woods for 54 years; he was also foreman for E.J. Bergman for 4 years; acted as an auctioneer for 15 years & for 20 years was a moving contractor, moving buildings, making basements & foundations.
Frank sold their farm in 1939 & built a home on the east road in Bark River.
After his wife’s death, he sold the home to Loyal Hanson & moved to Harris to be near is niece, Mrs. Algot Erickson. He lived there until he died.
