Altha, 89, went home to be with her Lord on June 13, 2020. She was born on March 26, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK to George Merrill and Lois Belle (Davis) Kimmel. She married the love of her life, Bill Eugene Grizzle and together they enjoyed many years of adventures until his passing in 2014. They loved to travel, camping along the way, and visited almost every national park. They delighted in sharing their travels with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Altha was a faithful Christian and served the Lord in various ways. She cooked and supervised at Falls Creek youth camp for many years and she was always ready with a pie, cake or potato salad when friends were in need. She loved to sing special music with husband, Bill and enjoyed singing in the choir. Most recently, as a greeter, she made it her mission to make sure that everyone who entered the doors of Mayridge Baptist Church felt welcomed and loved. Altha also enjoyed sewing, watching movies, and she really loved reading. When she ran out of books she would read labels, Or maybe, when she ran out of labels she would read books (She was a very frugal shopper). But above all, spending time with her family was what she loved most in this world and she will be deeply missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Grizzle; brothers, Marvin Kimmel and Erwin Kimmel; sisters, Lavetta Avery and Retha June Kimmel.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Grizzle and his wife, Brenda; son, Larry Grizzle and his wife, Deborah Jo; daughter, Stacey Cavett; sister, Merrilynne Grooms; grandchildren: Matthew Grizzle, Amanda Centomo, Jacob Grizzle, Benjamin Grizzle, Amy Norfleet, and Luke Cavett; great-grandchildren: Jaxson Centomo, Chloe Grizzle, Briannah Neeley, Jacob Grizzle, Sam Grizzle, Kali Grizzle, Elizabeth Norfleet, Emma Norfleet, Grace Cavett, and Lily Cavett.

Viewing will be Wednesday & Thursday from 4-8 PM with family present to greet friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday. Services will be 10 AM Friday morning at Mayridge Baptist Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
