SURVANT, Mrs. Nora of Thorndale. Age 84. Died 2/29/1976 (Sunday) (in paper 3/4/1976) found dead in the bathroom of her home by her son. She had been in and out of hospitals for the past few years, but she kept active until her death. Services held (Tuesday) in First Baptist Church, Thorndale. Burial in Thorndale City Cemetery. Rev. Reuel Cooper, now of Lexington, officiated. Condra's Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements.

She was BORN 1/6/1892 in the Salty Comm. and lived in the area all her life. She was the 2nd child of R.M. Beard & Lillie Caffey Beard. Married Babe Survant 12/15/1909 and he passed away on their 45th wedding anniversary, 12/15/1954. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Thorndale, a lifetime member of the PTA and a member of the Red Cross organization. Grandsons were pallbearers.

SURVIVORS: 3 daughters, Mrs. Nina McConnell of Hempstead, Mrs. Glorice Green of Lake Jackson, Mrs. Alice Davis of Dallas; 3 sons, Ervin Survant of Gatesville, Frank Survant of Thorndale, Bill Survant of Fredericksburg; 4 sisters, Mrs. F.R. Conoley, Mrs. Gladys Ralston, both of Thorndale, Mrs. Clara Fulick of Sinton, Mrs. Bernice Wilder of Kermit; 2 brothers, Tom Beard, R.M. Beard, both of Thorndale; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
