STEWART, Mrs. Bess of Austin. Age 57. Died 3/11/1942 (Wed.) in Brackenridge Hospital after an illness of 3 weeks. Services held at Methodist Church. Burial in Thorndale City Cemetery beside the grave of her husband who died 13 years ago. Rev. O.C. Crow, Methodist pastor of Austin, officiated.

She was BORN 8/06/1885 and for many years the family lived in the Thorndale Community. In 1934 she moved to Elgin with her children and a year later moved to Austin where she has since been employed.

SURVIVORS: Son, Joe Stewart of Silver City, NM.; daughter, Mrs. Norman Purcell of Austin; 2 grandchildren, Tim and Jan Elizabeth Purcell; brother, Ed Perry; sister-in-law, Mrs. J.E. Scuddy.
