Jack Heber Green 1912 ~ 2007 Jack H. Green, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend died peacefully at his daughter's home on July 20, 2007. Jack was born on Oct. 14, 1912 in Salt Lake City to Henry Green and Eliza Christina Turner. Jack grew up in a large and loving family in Salt Lake City. He attended the University of Utah graduating in 1939 with a BS degree in Mining Engineering. Jack married Barbara Biesinger on April 7, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jack worked for the American Smelting and Refining Company for 31 years. His wife, Barbara, passed away in December of 1974. Jack married Peggy Gillham on July 5, 1975 in the Oakland LDS Temple. They served an LDS mission from 1977-1978 in the Rapid City South Dakota Mission. While health permitted they traveled extensively, seeing much of the world. In 1984 they moved to Salt Lake City where they resided until February 2007 when they relocated to Pasco, Washington. They were both active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving those around them. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; wife, Barbara; a daughter, Carol; and son, David. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter and son-in-law Lucinda (Cindy) and Lynn Bleazard; daughters-in-law Debra Wynkoop and Kristine Frances. Also grandchildren Gary (Tami) Bleazard, Scott (Angie) Bleazard, Jill (Jared) Smith, Ann (John) Bragonje, and Jason (Rachael) Bleazard, Jeff (Jody) Green, Rebecca (Wells) Kempter, Karen Green, Patrick (Jennifer) Barnes, Brett Barnes and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on July 23, 2007 in Pasco, WA. On July 28, 2007 family and friends may meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary at 260 East South Temple prior to internment at the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David J. Green Memorial Fund at the LDS Hospital, Division of Medical Ethics. Jack will be missed by all who knew him. We love you Dad, Jack, and Grandpa.
