The funeral of Walter A. King, 77, of Start were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Cherry Baptist Church near Mangham with the Rev. Denver Smith officiating. Burial was in Lone Cherry Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.
Mr. King died Saturday night at Richland Parish Hospital following a brief illness. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Pearl Wiggins of Winnsboro; three sons, E.C. King of Como, Miss., L.E. King of Lisbon Falls, Maine and J.E. King of Little Rock, Ark.; 15 grandchildren and two gread-grandchildren.
