AGE 82 YEARS
Barbara A. (Nardone) Collins of South Boston, formerly of Charlestown, passed away June 11, 2020 at The Boston Medical Center in Boston. Barbara was a daughter of the late Joseph Nardone and Frances (Stevens) Nardone.
She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. Barbara worked at Gillette Razor Company in South Boston as a Payroll Supervisor and retired following 35 years of dedicated employment. She enjoyed being a "snowbird" and traveling to Venice, Florida during the winter months and would spend her summers at Totem Pole Park in Ossipee, New Hampshire. She enjoyed shopping in her spare time and never forgot her Charlestown roots. Most important in Barbara's life was her family and she cherished the quality moments spent with her son and his family and her siblings.
Beloved wife of the late William F. Collins, Jr. Devoted mother of William J. Collins and wife Stacy. Loving Nana to one granddaughter. Beloved sister of Dorothea Nardone, Robert Nardone, Frances Doherty and the late Mary Stearns, John and Joseph Nardone. Also many loving nieces and nephews.
Barbara's Graveside Service on Wednesday, June 17, at 11 AM at Blue Hills Cemetery, 700 West St., Braintree.
