LUCY MAE (SUSIE)'S OBITUARY

Lucy Mae (Susie) Tomlin was born May 20, 1932 in McDonald County, Missouri to Earl Patrick and Easter Lily (Holloway) Griffin. She passed away May 5, 2020 after a brief illness.

Susie was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Anderson High School in 1950. She was a homemaker, a seamstress, and a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ. Susie had a servant’s heart and was very active in her church, helping with funeral dinners, visiting with church members and offering help to anyone in need. She also was a Sunday School teacher and assisted with Vacation Bible School, as well as volunteering at the Neosho Help Center for several years.

Susie and Lewis Aaron Tomlin, Sr. were married March 4, 1952 in Bentonville, AR and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1993.

She is survived by four children, Karen S. Wheeler and husband, Ronnie of Neosho, Kevin Tomlin and wife, Donya of Neosho, Terry R. Tomlin of Bella Vista, AR, and Lewis A. Tomlin, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Monica Hartman, Bryan Tomlin, Aaron Tomlin, Lance Stipp, Kelsey Tomlin, and Eric Stipp; four great grandchildren, Samson Meador and wife, Kylie, Tessa Meador, Keenan Meador, and Taylor Meador; and one great-great grandchild, River Meador.

In addition to her husband, Susie was preceded in death by her parents; her six siblings, Jim Griffin, Raymond Griffin, Robert Griffin, Irene Tomlinson, Georgia Griffin, and Myrtle Arnall; and one daughter-in-law, Jeanette Tomlin.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, May 8, 2020 at Hillcrest Church of Christ, Neosho. Danny Boggs and Don Deffenbaugh will officiate. Interment will follow in Gibson Cemetery, Neosho. Honoring Susie as pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews, Bryan Tomlin, Lance Stipp, Eric Stipp, Bob Arnall, Randle Griffin, and Rodney Griffin. Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.

Contributions may be made to Neosho Christian School, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.

For the safety of our community, those attending the visitation and funeral services, will be asked to follow the social distancing protocols set forth by the State of Missouri Health Department and the CDC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho Chapel.
