Edward was born on September 16, 1939 in Beaverton, MI to the late Earl and Ethel Cool. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Edward belonged to the Flint Eagles Local 629. He enjoyed motorcycles and working on his house. Edward often listened to country and blue grass music. He also loved watching old western movies and reading western novels. “Pops” mellowed and sweetened in his old age. He never asked for anything but was always willing to help anyone in need.
Surviving are his children, Gordon Cool, David Cool, and Perry (Michele) Cool; grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Dylan, Christian, Tim McLaughlin, and Justin McLaughlin; and several other family members.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florence Gray; and nephew, Russel Cool.
