Wardell Volden, 88 of Spearman passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2020. Graveside services will be on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Hansford Cemetery at 11:00a.m., with Rev. Mark Murray officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Due to COVID 19 guidelines, social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Wardell was born on April 11, 1930, to Joseph Charles Volden and Eva Bolt Volden in Liberal, Kansas. AWardell and Edith Gibson were married on April 28, 952 in Liberal, Kansas. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spearman.

Wardell was in the U.S. Army durning the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed reading, loved his family and they were his life. He also enjoyed farming. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Wardell was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

He is survived by his wife, of Spearman, daughter, Donna Nolano and husband Mike of Ardmore, OK.; daughter , Denise Wylie and husband Joe of Perryton, son, Aaron Volden and wife Louisa, of Liberal, KS., daughter, Kathy Volden, of Spearman, daughter, Patty Renteria and husband, Jaun of Spearman, Son, Billy Volden, Spearman and son Chris Volden and wife, Katrene of Amarillo. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice , 707 Roland, Spearman , TX 79081 or ones favorite charity.
