Memphis F. Edsall, 1 Glenfield, N.Y., died unexpectedly Saturday of natural causes while visiting his sister, Mrs. Sadie Arnold, 606 Erie Heights, Honesdale.

Born in Lookout, son of the late Robert and Grace Branning Edsall, he was a retired body and fender repairman in Lowville, N.Y., and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his widow, former Jean Woodward; four sons, John and James, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Forest, U.S.A.F., stationed in Germany; Steven, U.S.A.F., stationed in Austin, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Francien) McEntire, Irving, Texas; another sister, Mrs. Frences Bishop, Seelyville; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale. Rev. Norman M. Dunsmore, pastor, First Presbyterian Church, Honesdale, will officiate. Interment, Indian Orchard Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4, 7 to 9 p.m.
