Born in Lisbon, he had lived in Sanford 68 years. He was a retired employee with Harry P. Leu Company, Orlando, and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Sanford and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors: daughters. Mrs. Joyce Jones, Sanford, Mrs. Cathleen Thomas, Houston, Tex.; son, Rodrick, Alexandria, La.; sisters, Mrs. Margaret Whitaker, Mrs. Katie Bell, both of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
