MT. VERNON – Dorothy May Conway-Hall-Dixon, 94, departed this life at 9:10PM, on August 20, 2007 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Dorothy was born on September 23, 1912 in Omaha Nebraska to John Henry and Bertha (Trachsel) Smith and lived in Missouri since childhood. She accepted Jesus at an early age and served him faithfully every day of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon.

She is survived by her children: Wayne Conway and wife, Nan, Mt. Vernon, Wylene Sage and husband, John, Louisville Kentucky, Hubert Conway and wife, Charlotte, Mt. Vernon and Dorcas Powers and husband, L. B., St. Louis; three stepdaughters, Margaret Neal, Chantey Tennessee, Vivian Walters, Pierce City and Phyllis Close, Springfield; and a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Her parents, husbands, Truman Conway, Roy Hall and Glenn Dixon, and two brothers, Arnold Smith and Alex Smith, preceded her in death.

Funeral services, under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 24th, in the First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon with Rev. Hubert Conway and Dr. Bruce McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Prairie Cemetery, Halltown.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Billy Graham Crusade in care of the funeral home.
