Julieanna (Payne) Sorrels, 65, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 7, 1955 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James Marvin Payne and Betty Joyce (Hale) Cook.

Julieanna worked as a bus aide for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. She enjoyed drawing, working on puzzles and had beautiful penmanship. She was a member of New Hope Pentecostal Church in Henderson, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Henry Sorrels; daughter, Joyce Burkstead; siblings, Jeffrey Payne (Ann), Rev. Tony Payne (Mary), Kathryn Minton, Bruce Lothamer (Chris), Brad Tillman (Terri), Bobby Payne (Kathy), Jennifer Schleter (Steve) as well as several Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Julieanna is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Tucker Jr; daughter, May Lynn Tucker and her stepfather, Lewis Cook.

A private celebration of life in honor of Julieanna will be held at a later date. Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care. Published in Courier Press from Jun. 5 to Jun. 7, 2020.
