GETTYSBURG Clair E. Cornbower, 82, formerly of Jefferson, died Tuesday afternoon, August 21, 2007, at the Gettysburg Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a brief illness. In honoring Clair's request, all services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Cornbower was born on July 14, 1925, in Spring Grove, a son of the late Elmer F. and Theda M. (Shive) Cornbower. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Codorus, and was a life member of the Jefferson Fire Company. He leaves a sister, Betty L. Myers of Hanover; a niece; and five nephews.
