Jimmy honorably served our country in the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Mr. Spradley was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy was a Heavy Equipment Operator in various industries for many years. He also was a welder and a policeman at one time. He was lifetime member of the Local VFW Post 9225 of Perry and the Greenville American Legion Post 131 where he served as its past commander for a number of years.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents W.J. and Jennie V. Spradley Sr., his sisters Tennie Vee Davis, Margie Henderson, Juanita Goodman, Ida V. Floyd, and Jackie O’Quinn.
Mr. Spradley is survived by his siblings Gwen “Sissy” Varela, Dillard Spradley, W.J. “Buddy” Spradley, Jr.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Bailey officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
