Jay Carpenter, 58 of Rushville, passed away on June 3, 2020 in Franklin, IN. He was born on October 29, 1961 in Rushville, IN to the latge J.D. and Nadine (Griffin) Carpenter. Jay was a tree cutter for several years. He will be remember for his handy work.
Jay is survived by his daughters, Stacey Carpenter of Rushville and Brittany Carpenter of Rushville; sons, Steve Carpenter of Shelbyville, Eric Carpenter of Springport, Jeff (Paula) Carpenter of Rushville, Duane (Edith) Carpenter of Rushville, Tim (Bobbi Jo) Carpenter of Rushville, Brian (Heather) Carpenter of Mays, Chris (Bobbie) Carpenter of Rush County and Derrick (Billie) Carpenter of Arlington; sisters, Brenda Newman, Beth Scott and Karrie Carpenter all of Rushville. He will also be missed by two grandchildren on the way.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Carpenter.
Services will be private at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. The public is welcome to visit the family from 11 AM-1PM on Monday, June 8, 2020 in Moster Mortuary. Burial will be held in Laurel North Cemetery.
