Edna Raye Stinnett Goodwin Harrison, 80, of Roanoke, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 20, 2007. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Goodwin. She is survived by a daughter, Hazel Dooley and husband, Tommy Dooley, Sr.; a son, Harold Goodwin and his wife, Charlotte Goodwin; one granddaughter, Marlenea Kay and Thomas Jackson; three grandsons, Tommy Dooley, Jr. and Deborah Dooley, Harold Ray (Spanky) Dooley and Krista King, and Timothy Goodwin; a step granddaughter, Karen Underwood; three great grandsons, Matt Whorley, Bradley Dooley and Gregory Dooley; three step great granddaughters, Emerald Poff, Taylor and Sierra Muncey; and numerous nieces and nephews survive. The family would like to express special thanks to the Friendship Manor Nursing Staff on 1 West and also to Good Samaritan Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Irvin W. Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 982-2221.
