George M. Macan, 66, of 306 North 17th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Thursday, Mary 13th, at Providence Hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County. Mr. Macan was a retired employee of the Inter-American Press Division and was a member of the Printing and Pressman Local Union No. 16, and of the Wyandotte Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of Our Lady and St. Rose Catholic Church.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary M. Macan; two sons, Lawrence E. Macan of 2020 North 65th Terrace in Kansas City, Kansas, and Francis P. Macan of 9100 Summit in Lenexa; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Podrebarac of 822 Northrup in Kansas City, Kansas; and eight grandchildren.

The Rosary was said on Friday night at the Skradski Chapel, where friends called during the afternoon and evening. Services were held on Saturday morning at the Skradski Chapel and at 9 o'clock at Our Lady and St. Rose Catholic Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
