Mom and Dad (Frederick A. Church, Jr.) were both born in Jonesport, Maine. Dad, born November 21, 1920, to Frederick A. Church, Sr. and Josephine (Worcester) Church passed away June 17, 2016. Mom, born to Sanford Kelley I and Etta (Faulkingham) Kelley, June 12, 1924, passed away May 7, 2020.

We moved to Merrimack, New Hampshire in 1956; they purchased their home in 1960. Mom and Dad worked hard on their home and gardens, remodeling and landscaping as well as building a barn and corral for daughter Jane’s horses. They each had numerous interests and skills and from them, I learned much.

Dad’s “animal sanctuary” was sold after he had passed, but there are still visitations from a variety of wildlife. In her final years, Mom loved to watch the numerous birds that flocked to her feeders, jot down her memories and write poetry. Other of her interests were art and cooking. She made the best apple pie. A local restaurant started ordering pies from her and shortly it seemed apple pie making was nearly a full-time job.

Now Mom and Dad are together again with their beloved son Brian, who was taken from us in 1978, and with all their other loved ones who passed before. Rest in peace. I miss you.

They are survived by me, Nancy, of Columbia Falls, Maine; granddaughter, Jessica of Windham, Maine; Jessica’s two children, Joel Michael and Jenna; their other daughter, Jane of Merrimack, New Hampshire and husband Shawn; grandson, Nathan (Brian’s son), and Nathan’s wife Brenda and their children Troy and Ryan of Merrimack, New Hampshire. They are also survived by Dad’s sister, Ramona Alley of Washburn, Maine; Mom’s sister, Lucille Casey of Pinehurst, North Carolina and her children; Mom’s sister, Gloria Feeney of Jonesport, Maine and her children; several other nieces and nephews and greatnieces and nephews.

They will be interred in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport, Maine.
