Elijah Turner was born in Tenn. in 1818 a resident of Mo. since 1833. He became affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1860. He was a ruling elder in New Harmony Presbyterian Church, which office he filled to devine acceptance til his death. The marriage to Martha M. Yates was solemized by Rev. J. B. Mitchell, D.D.. He died as only a good man dieth near New Harmony Church, Macon Co., Mo.
