He was married on June 24, 1980, in Lancaster, WI.
He worked for Hawes Bottling Beverage Company for a short time and then went out on his own for 29 years and for 15 years at Highland Community College. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
He died at his home in Freeport, after a bout with cancer.
Surviving him were his wife, his daughters, step-daughters, step-sons; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Memorial Service was held at Walker Mortuary. Cremation rites were accorded.
