“J. A. Desjardins, physician and surgeon, is a native of Canada, and was born August 3, 1829; he received his education in Montreal; studies medicine and graduated at Victoria College May 11, 1852; after graduating, practiced medicine in Canada nineteen years. In 1871, went to Syracuse, N. Y., and the following year came to Marquette, and since then has practiced his profession here. He is a member of the Board of Health. In 1854, he married Miss Clarissa Chagnon, a native of Canada.
