James Barton, of Lebanon, passed away May 30, 2020. James was born April 21, 1947 in Whitestown, a son of John T. and Opal (Arnold) Barton.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War and was awarded the Purple Heart.
James was a member of the VFW, America Legion and Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his son, Johnny Barton, 3 Grandchildren, and sisters; Marilyn Sheets and Glenda Finley.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Lavern Barton, and sisters, Carolyn Allen and Joy Dean Barton.
Services for James will be held at a later date.
