PINKERTON, Gilbert Andrew of San Marcos. Age 57. Died 12/30/1955 (Friday) following a heart attack. Services held (Sunday) at Pennington's Funeral Chapel in San Marcos and in Salty Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Burial in Salty cemetery. Rev. J.E. McDonald, pastor of the church, officiated in San Marcos with Thomas Hogan, Student of Southwest Texas Teachers College and a close friend of the family, in charge in Salty.

Mr. Pinkerton was BORN 7/31/1899 in Falls Co., near Rosebud. He moved with his parents, M/M. Horace Pinkerton to the Salty Comm. when a small boy. He grew to manhood in the Salty Comm. and joined the Salty Methodist Church in early childhood. Married Helen Brown on 4/8/1923. They had 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. In 1939 Mr. Pinkerton united with the San Marcos Christian Church, completing the unity of his family in that church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen; 2 sons, Brown Pinkerton of Hearne and Harlin Pinkerton of Freeport; 2 daughters, Mrs. Alice Walker and Mrs. Helen Reinoshek of San Antonio; 5 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 4 sisters, Mrs. Clarice Thorpe of Woodburn, OR., Mrs. Bertha Ogle of Sedan, KS., Mrs. Helen Wilson of Houston and Mrs. Pearl Williams of Milano.
