Logann Hayden Alizabeth Davis-Smedley, affectionately known as “Boogie and La-La” age 9, of Xenia, OH went Home to be with our Lord on May 15, 2020 at Children's Hospital in Dayton after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor on July 11, 2019. She was born April 16, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital in Highland County, OH.
She was preceded in death by her father: Hayden Emerson Davis, Jr.; her great grandmother: Lora May Salmons and her aunt: Robin Salmons; as well as other extended loving family members. Logann lived with and is survived by her momma and daddy: Amissa and Jason Smedley; her brother: Cooper Thomas Smedley and her grandparents: Tom and Amy Salmons. It was because of these 5 people that Logann never had to spend a night alone in her own bed. She is also survived by family that loved her, including: grandparents: Hayden and Shelley Davis; Lisa Smedley; Paul Smedley; great grandparents: Michael Salmons; Hayden and Carol Davis; Howard and Wanda Pate; aunts and uncles: Zack (Valerie) Davis; Ciera (David) Gernet; and Brandon (Cierra) Davis; cousins: Zayden; Phoebe; Athena; Allison; Brandon Jr. and Cienna; as well as an army of other family members, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her two very best friends: Lillian and Tucker. She is also survived by her service dog, Lexie, who never left her side.
Logann was a third grader at Tecumseh Elementary School in Xenia, where she was extremely impacted by the love, kindness, support and personal relationship she developed with her 1st and 2nd grade teacher, Amanda Frauman. Amanda helped Logann grow in more ways than imaginable. Logann, as well as her family, consider Amanda a part of their family. She was a gymnast and cheerleader. Logann had an unshakeable faith in God. She enjoyed singing at church and had many favorite songs. She never met a stranger and was extremely compassionate and kind. She was an amazing big sister to her bub “Cooey.” Nothing made her happier than to share time playing with just him. The two of them would fight but make up instantly. Cooper will always be Logann’s biggest fan! She loved toys of all kinds but nothing more than LOL Dolls and her reborn babies. She was so proud to have recently become a new momma to her reborn doll “Lizzie” which a Special Wish had granted her. She also enjoyed making instructional YouTube videos of herself as the “Slime Master” and Reborn videos. Logann was an extreme fighter. She never complained and took each treatment with a smile and made quick friends with the staff. Even though the family didn’t get the miracle they wanted, they feel she got the miracle she needed. GOD’S GOT THIS!
