Before moving to Battiest in 1981 from Rialto, CA, she was a long time employee of San Bernardino Community Hospital. Thelma was a very giving person and loved caring for the elderly. She enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Marie Powell, husband, Milford "Mel" Bodiford; son, Allen Bodiford; sister, Betty Dunham.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Sherie and James Powers, Rialto, CA; one son, Mike Bodiford, California; four grandchildren, Nicole Bodiford, Kansas, Micheal Bodiford, Alaska, Melani Powers and Peyton Powers, both of Rialto, CA; one brother, Marion Powell and wife Carol, Augusta, GA; two sisters, Dorothy Gates, Augusta, GA, Mary Sue Brown and husband Dean, Augusta, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
