This amazing woman crossed the finish line last week. My dear cousin Bettye Jo was the embodiment of strength, kindness, and grace. She raised three fantastic kids, she took care of her mother for years after a stroke, she survived breast cancer in her eighties, she was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she had a great laugh, she loved flowers. I am so grateful to have known her and had her in my life however briefly. She was always an inspiration to me... See you on the other side, cousin.
