Mrs Ella Bruining, age 94 went to be with her Lord early this morning, Sept. 30, 1998. She was born July 2, 1904 in Reeman, MI to Joseph and Clara (Dunning) Baillargeon; and had resided in Muskegon most of her life. She was a member of the former Wood Avenue United Methodist Church since 1922 and now of Crestwood United Methodist Church where she had been a choir member and active member. On June 25, 1925 she married Carl N. Bruining and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1979. she was also preceded in death by her daughter Beverly McCormick in 1970 and by her brother Joe Baillargeon. Survivors include 2 daughters, Barbara (Paul) Piekes of Spring Lake and Ruth (Jack) Grenell of Whitehall; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchilden and many very close friends. Service were held at Crestwood United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Victor D. Charnley, officiating.
