Elfie V. Gilbert COCHOCTON Elfie V. Gilbert, 95, formerly of East Archwood Avenue, Akron, died Tuesday at the Extended Care Facility of Cochocton County Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 3, 1893 in Hanover Township, Greene County, Pa., the daughter of William Hervey and Rachel Ella (Doak) Stevenson. She was a member of Firestone Park , Presbyterian Church. She was married to Wallace Leeper, who died in 1927. In 1934 she married David Russell Gilbert, who died in 1959. Surviving are her son, Vernon Leeper of Sacramento, Calif.; stepson, Russell Gilbert of West Lafayette,- one granddaughter; two stepgreat-grand-children; one stepgreat-great-grond-son; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother; three sisters; one stepgrandson; and one stepgreat-grandson. Services Friday, 1 p.m., at the Ivy Chapel at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, Rev. Moss Rutan officiating. Calling hours one hour prior to services at the Ivy Chapel. Arrangements by the Free Funeral Home, Cochocton.
