ALBERT "AL" CROSETTI March 14, 1917 - August 16, 2007 Dad passed away peacefully at home with his children at his side on August 16, 2007 at the age of 90. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by: his children, Janice Crosetti-Titmus, Michael Crosetti, Christine Riedel and Cathy Crosetti-Fuston; sons-in-law, Thomas Titmus, Mike Riedel and John Fuston; daughter-in-law, Paula Crosetti; sister, Catherine "Nina" Crosetti; brother, Tom Crosetti; beloved nonno of ElenaBrignole-Hichman (and her husband Aaron), Maria Brignole-Chilimidos (and her husband Darren), Katie Riedel, Nocholas Riedel, Joseph Fuston, Matthew Crosetti and Marc Crosetti; loving bisnonno of Dominic Chilimidos, Sofia Chilimidos and Lucke Hichman. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Tina Biasotti and Mary Biasotti; niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Dad was a World War II veteran, a 45-year shareholder in the Oakland Scavenger Company and for 10 years co-owner of the Colby Market. He was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 223, Liguri nel Mondo, Columbo, Club, Fratellanza Club and Ligure Club. He served more than 40 years as the Corresponding Secretary for the Ligure club. Dad is truly at peace. He missed his wife and life-long friend, Eleanor, after she passed away on June 15, 1994. He longed for her companionship and now they are together again. Dad was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 4:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Albert Brown Mortuary, 3476 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 23, 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 30 Mandalay Road, Oakland. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo. Donations in Al's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
