Simstad, Esther M. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Simstad passed away Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 85 years. Esther was born May 25, 1919 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She was a member of Christian Assembly Church, the Womens Society and was retired from K-Mart. She is survived by one son, Edward G. Simstad of Bay City, one daughter and one son-in-law, Peggy and Eugene Norgan of Tekonsha, Michigan; six grandchildren: Michael Simstad, Marci Simstad, Debbie and Mike Volstrom, Brian and Pam Norgan, Jennifer and Steve Andrews and Lisa Norgan, ten great grandchildren, one sister, Ruth and Harold Bell of Marshfield, Wisconsin, one sister-in-law, Dorothy Simstad of Northport, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Edwin Simstad and one daughter-in-law, Claudia Kay Simstad. Funeral and committal Services will take place Monday February 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Assembly Church. Officiating will be Rev. William Severance with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Simstad will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
