Charles Douglas Riehl, son of John and Clara Dittert Riehl, was born Feb. 6, 1942, at Fort Dodge and died Oct. 2, 1970, at Omaha. He reached age 28y 7m 8d.

He grew to manhood in the Paton area, attending school there. After high school, he attended welding school at Cleveland, OH and became a certified welder, working in Iowa and Nebraska. He was employed by O'Keefe Elevator Company in Omaha.

He made his home in Council Bluffs the past six years and served in the U. S. Army for three years. Douglas was a member of the Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his father in August 1970.

He is survived by his mother, Clara; five brothers and four sisters:

His funeral service was Monday, Oct. 5 at St. Brigid's Catholic Church in Grand Junction. Rev. Peter J. Fransco celebrated the Mass. Interment was at Mt. Calvary Cem.
