She graduated from Brownsville High School (PA). She began as an account clerk with Standard Oil Co. and continued working with Gulf Oil Co. to support her family as her husband graduated from college. She was a longtime member of Order of Eastern Star, Boone County, WV and the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W and Gladys (Levick) Calhoun; first husband, Arthur Woodward; brother, John Calhoun Jr.; two sisters, Jean Barnish and Betty Dusha. She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Bernard McDonald; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Woodward, Green Cove Springs, FL and Arthur Dale Woodward and his partner, Vicki Vojik of Perry Hall, MD; sisters, Shirley Vickers and Beverly Pollock, both of Columbus; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by Bernard's children, David McDonald, Carol (Craig) Blaine, Mark (Andrea) McDonald, Linda (David) Horn, and Jeffrey (Kristen) McDonald.
