Alex Neighbor Glenn died Monday in a local nursing home, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Hassell & Foster Chapel, with the Rev. Murray Mathis and the Rev. Otis Felton officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Elkhart.

Mr. Glenn was born January 16, 1879 in Anderson County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Glenn. He was married to the late Mrs. Jennie Howell Glenn, who died December 12, 1965. A lifelong resident of Anderson County, he was a retired foreman for the state Highway Department, and a member of the Elkhart Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be H. L. McCracken, Francis Huffman, L. J. Huffman, Dale Holloway, W. A. Howard, and Francis Day. All friends of the family are named as honorary pallbearers.

Survivors include one son, Vernon Glenn, of San Antonio; three daughters, Mrs. C. D. Fryar and Mrs. Lee Weatherford, both of Palestine, and Mrs. E. L. Self of Elkhart; one granddaughter, Mrs. Ernest Tullos of San Antonio; four great-grandchildren.
