In the 1850 census, she was 21 years of age; they were living in Hancock County, Ohio and had one daughter, Harriet, age 2.
They had five children; Harriet, John and Russell were born in Hancock County, Ohio and Lydia and Mary were born in Nebraska Territory.
In 1862, B. F. Rolston is listed as a land owner in Nemaha County, Nebraska Territory.
By the 1870 census, Benjamin and his children are living in Siskiyou County, California. Rachel is not listed, but according to their daughter Lydia’s obituary in 1943, she went to California with her parents in a covered wagon, settling first near Bakersfield.
Rachel died after 1860, between the time daughter Mary was born, but before the 1870 census.
In 1879, Rachel is named in John McKinley's Last Will and Testament as my daughter Rachel Rolston now deceased.
