ALICE ALEXANDER, 85, of Omaha, died Friday, May 22nd, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial for ALICE ALEXANDER will be held 11-a.m. Saturday, May 30th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Earling. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earling is on Friday, May 29th, from 5-until 8-p.m., with a Rosary at 7-p.m.

Burial is in the St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Survivors include her children Vicky Wilty of Cincinnati, IA; Debbie (Rick) Henkle of Cincinnati, IA; Deanna Belloma of Centerville, IA; Mary Sadaro of Cincinnati, IA; Jake (Sue) Alexander of Elkhorn, NE; Lisa (Steve) Miller of Omaha, NE; Jim "Red" Alexander of Centerville, IA; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings Cletus Weis of Harlan, IA; Ron (Rita) Weis of Omaha, NE; Joe Weis of Norfolk, NE; Gary (Joanne) Weis of Omaha, NE; Agnes Gary of Richmond, VA; Patty (Tom) Muenchrath of Harlan, IA

Alice Alexander, daughter of Joseph and Gabriella (Koesters) Weis, was born July 1, 1934. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earling and attended school and graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School.
In 1954, Alice was married and to this union 5 daughters and 2 sons were born: Vicky, Debbie, Deanna, Mary, Jake, Lisa, and Jim "Red".
Alice worked many years at the Little Flower Haven. Alice spent most of her time raising children. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and occasionally playing bingo and casino visits. The past couple years she was challenged by memory issues but always wore a big smile and grin. She never met a stranger and was always quick with a story or a good joke. She was fun loving to say the least.
Alice died on May 22, 2020 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha having attained the age of eighty-five years, ten months, and twenty-two days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Marie McGill, Elaine Sheldon, Betty Pauley, Norma Goetz, and Grace Madden; brothers Gene Weis and Bob Weis; brothers-in-law Tony Goetz, Gary Madden, Pete Sheldon, Elmer Gary, and Jerome Pauley; sisters-in-law Elaine Weis, Willie Weis and Gladys Weis.
She is survived by her children Vicky Wilty of Cincinnati, Iowa; Debbie (Rick) Henkle of Cincinnati, Iowa; Deanna Belloma of Centerville, Iowa; Mary Sadaro of Cincinnati, Iowa; Jake (Sue) Alexander of Elkhorn, Nebraska; Lisa (Steve) Miller of Omaha, Nebraska, Jim "Red" Alexander of Centerville, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren with two on the way in June; brothers Cletus Weis of Harlan, Iowa; Ron (Rita) Weis of Omaha, Nebraska; Joe Weis of Norfolk, Nebraska; Gary (Joanne) Weis of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters Agnes Gary of Richmond, Virginia and Patty (Tom) Muenchrath of Harlan, Iowa; brother-in-law Jack McGill of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Leona Smith of Omaha, Nebraska and Ruth Weis of Defiance, Iowa; many special nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A heartfelt thank you to Lisa and Steve Miller and family for providing a loving home and wonderful care to mother for the past several years.
